About Rainbow Fireworks
Rainbow Fireworks is one of the UK’s leading professional firework display operators and proudly runs bricks-and-mortar retail showrooms based in Scunthorpe and Lincoln, offering one of the UK's most curated selections of consumer fireworks. Whether you're planning a back garden celebration or stocking up for Bonfire Night, our shop is open year-round and staffed by experienced professionals who can guide you to the perfect product for your event, budget, and venue.
We stock over 200 individual items, including exclusive Rainbow-branded fireworks such as Space Harrier, Jennifer Wars and Katies Revenge. Our shelves feature everything from family-friendly fountains and low-noise cakes to high-powered barrages, compound displays, and professional-effect smoke grenades. Customers can browse in person, ask questions, and see real product videos before buying—adding a personal touch that online stores just can't match.
Our shop is also a hub for seasonal promotions, bulk purchases, wedding consultations, and event planning. We welcome walk-ins, event organisers, and fellow enthusiasts from across Lincolnshire and beyond.
From intimate celebrations to large-scale public spectacles, our displays are designed to leave lasting impressions. We don’t just light up the sky—we tell stories through colour, rhythm, and choreography. Every show is a reflection of our core values: creativity, safety, professionalism, and a deep respect for the communities we serve.
Our Story
Rainbow Fireworks began as a small, hands-on operation with a simple mission: to bring joy and wonder to people through the magic of fireworks. Over the years, we’ve expanded our reach across the UK, building a reputation for reliability, innovation, and spectacular results. Our founder remains actively involved in every aspect of the business—from strategic planning to on-site troubleshooting—ensuring that each display meets the highest standards.
We’ve weathered industry challenges, navigated complex logistics, and adapted to changing regulations, all while staying true to our roots. Today, Rainbow Fireworks is not just a display company—it’s a trusted partner for events that matter.
What We Do
We specialise in fully managed firework displays for:
Our packages range from compact, high-impact shows like the Spectrum Display to premium offerings such as the Amethyst Sky and the musically synchronised Symphony Display. Each show is tailored to the venue, audience, and theme, with options for custom colours, low-noise effects, and musical integration.
We use cutting-edge technology including COBRA wireless firing systems and Finale 3D software to ensure flawless execution. Every display is electronically fired for precision and safety, and our team handles everything from risk assessments to post-show clean-up.
Safety & Compliance
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Rainbow Fireworks holds £10 million public liability insurance, and our crew is trained to the highest industry standards. We conduct thorough site inspections, prepare detailed and extensive risk assessments, and liaise with local authorities to ensure full compliance with UK regulations.
We also offer guidance on firework storage, licensing, and venue suitability—especially important for clients hosting events in sensitive locations or near livestock, schools, or residential areas.
National Reach, Local Care
Though we operate nationwide, we pride ourselves on maintaining a personal touch. Our displays have lit up skies from Cornwall to Cumbria, but we never lose sight of the communities we serve. We understand the importance of local relationships, and we work closely with councils, landowners, and event organisers to deliver shows that are both spectacular and respectful of their surroundings.
Whether it’s a village fête or a city-wide celebration, we bring the same level of care, creativity, and professionalism to every project.
Highlights & Milestones
Catton Hall Festival of Fireworks 2024
One of our proudest moments came on 7th September 2024, when Rainbow Fireworks was invited to perform at the 25th Anniversary of the Festival of Fireworks at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent. This prestigious event, organised by Jubilee Fireworks, is the UK’s largest non-competitive firework festival, showcasing the talents of four elite display teams.
Our 10-minute pyromusical pushed the limits of technical choreography, with every shell, comet, and strobe timed to the beat of a custom soundtrack. Set against the stunning backdrop of Catton Hall and the National Forest, our display was a celebration of creativity, precision, and passion.
The event drew thousands of spectators and featured food stalls, fairground rides, and live entertainment throughout the day. Our slot was a highlight of the evening, earning praise for its emotional pacing, colour transitions, and dramatic finale.
Catton Hall 2024 wasn’t just a show—it was a statement. It reaffirmed Rainbow Fireworks’ place among the UK’s top-tier display companies and demonstrated our ability to deliver world-class performances under pressure.
National Armed Forces Day 2025 – Cleethorpes
Another landmark moment came in June 2025, when Rainbow Fireworks was selected to provide the official fireworks finale for the National Armed Forces Day celebrations in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire.
Held from 27th to 29th June, this event was the largest free celebration on the east coast, honouring serving personnel, veterans, cadets, and their families. With aerial displays from the Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and RAF Typhoon, plus parades, concerts, and a carnival, the weekend was a powerful tribute to the UK’s military community.
Our display took place near Ross Castle at 10:25pm on Saturday, closing the day with a spectacular burst of light and sound. Designed to evoke pride, gratitude, and unity, the show featured patriotic colour themes, musical cues, and crowd-pleasing effects that lit up the Cleethorpes seafront.
We worked closely with the Armed Forces Major Events Team (AFMET) to ensure the display reflected the spirit of the occasion. From logistics and safety planning to soundtrack selection and firing choreography, every detail was handled with care and respect.
Being part of Armed Forces Day 2025 was more than a professional honour—it was a chance to give back to those who serve and protect our country.
